Biography
Dr. Deng is a Senior Research Scientist in the Energy and Environment Directorate at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) . His professional experience at PNNL includes basic and applied research in the area of environmental fluid mechanics. His principal areas of expertise are the development and application of advanced experimental diagnostics and instrumentation relevant to environmental fluid mechanics, physical modeling of hydraulic structures, fishery engineering, turbulence modeling, and computational fluid dynamics. Dr. Deng is a member of American Physical Society, American Society of Mechanical Engineers and Sigma Xi. He also serves as an associate editor of the Journal of Renewable and Sustainable Energy, an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal published by the American Institute of Physics.
